About the role
Seeking dedicated Crisis Service Professionals to provide on‑call crisis response, risk assessments, and mobile support for mental health emergencies.
Responsibilities
- Responding to crisis calls and providing mobile crisis response
- Conducting risk assessments and determining appropriate interventions
- Offering brief crisis counseling and follow-up services
- Meeting clients in homes, hospitals, law enforcement, or community settings
- Responding to emergency and suicide calls
- Gathering information from interviews, records, and collateral contacts
- Assessing client needs and connecting them to community resources
- Maintaining relationships with county staff, law enforcement, courts, and community partners
- Documenting client interactions per regulatory standards
- Identifying service gaps and recommending improvements
- Staying informed on laws, procedures, and best practices in crisis services
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Services or related field (e.g., psychology, social work)
- Preferred minimum one year of experience with mental health clients
- Knowledge of community resources and Wisconsin statutes Chapters 34, 51, and 55
- Strong crisis assessment, decision-making, and relationship-building skills
- Ability to work independently, multitask, and maintain professionalism
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and clean motor vehicle record
Additional Requirements
- Ability to respond within one hour in Adams or Juneau County
- Occasional travel for meetings or training
