About the role
We are seeking dedicated Crisis Service Professionals to provide on‑call crisis response, risk assessments, and mobile support for individuals experiencing mental health emergencies in Adams and Juneau Counties.
Responsibilities
- Respond to crisis calls and provide mobile crisis response when needed
- Conduct risk assessments and determine appropriate interventions
- Offer brief crisis counseling and follow‑up services
- Meet clients in homes, hospitals, law enforcement settings, or community locations
- Respond to suicide or emergency calls and gather information from various sources
- Assess client needs, connect them to community resources, and maintain strong partnerships with county staff and community agencies
- Document interactions in compliance with regulations and identify service gaps for improvements
- Stay informed on laws, procedures, and best practices related to crisis services
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Services or related field
- Preferred minimum of one year working with mental health clients
- Knowledge of community resources and ability to learn relevant laws and statutes
- Strong crisis assessment, decision-making skills, and professionalism under pressure
- Ability to build relationships with diverse populations
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and ability to respond within one hour to crisis locations
