Generations Healthcare is seeking a Dietary Cook to join its team. The facility is known for its high-quality patient care and offers a supportive work environment.

Responsibilities

• Inspect special diet trays to ensure correct diet is served to residents.
• Complete necessary forms, reports, and submit to the Director of Food Services.
• Cook a variety of foods in large quantities.
• Prepare meals according to planned menus and standard recipes.
• Ensure food procedures are followed and maintain cleanliness and order in food service areas.
• Work with the dietitian to implement recommended changes and prepare food for therapeutic diets.

Qualifications

• Able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Able to make independent decisions when necessary.
• Able to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies, and the general public.
• Knowledgeable of food procedures.
• Willingness to lead and work harmoniously with other personnel.
• Able to follow oral and written instructions.
• Able to maintain supplies, equipment, and work areas.
• Able to seek out new methods and principles and incorporate them into existing food practices.
