Contract Coordinator
About the role
The Contracts Coordinator will report to the Sr Business Manager and will be responsible for managing contracts, including but not limited to grant writing, contracts, memorandum of understanding, interlocal agreements, formal requests for proposals (RFPs), and any other agreements as assigned.
Responsibilities
- Create and manage the database for contract information
- Create and maintain a comprehensive contract management system, including procedure manuals
- Participate with County staff and others to develop appropriate program plans and evaluation systems
- Draft or amend contracts and ensure the contracts are in accordance with Federal and State requirements and County standards
- Prepare applicable documents and reports
- Cookordinate and participate in special projects related to contract activities
- Develop, audit, compile, calculate and analyze a variety of contract data
- Negotiate terms for Purchase of Service contracts
- Coordinate management of service contracts and related projects
Requirements
This is an exempt (salary) position. Pay rates are based on education, skill, experience level, and internal equity. Internal equity considerations include an assessment of the applicant’s salary history and qualifications in comparison to the market rate and requirements for the job.
The Department of Community Resources (DCR) through its Community Resource Center, supports the core departments of Mecklenburg County Health and Human Services (HHS) in doing their business through an integrated service delivery model of subject-matter experts from each core department and community partners who provide services to County residents in our HHS Community Resource Center. In addition, DCR is responsible for administering Child Support Services, Economic Services, MeckSuccess, HOMES, and Unified Workforce Development programs, as well as Integrated Health and Human Services Mail Services.
The position is in the Department of Community Resources will report to the Sr Business Manager. The candidate will be responsible for managing contracts, including but not limited to grant writing, contracts, memorandum of understanding, interlocal agreements, formal requests for proposals (RFPs), and any other agreements as assigned.
Qualifications
- Minimum of four years of experience in a related field
- Bachelor's degree in a Finance, Business Administration, Human Services, or related field
- May require a valid North Carolina or South Carolina Driver's License
- Requires County Driving Privileges

Pay
$76,328.00 - $95,409.50 per year
Schedule
This is a full-time position with Monday – Friday work schedule.
