Responsibilities
- Coordinate contracts from proposal stage through project completion
- Serve as project liaison between internal project team and external stakeholders
- Work with Estimating & Proposal group on customer proposals
- Aid project team in transitioning from estimating to project execution after successful project award
- Demonstrate thorough understanding of contract provisions and requirements
- Act as primary commercial contact for large complex industrial construction projects
- Prepare subcontract and material RFQs and purchase requisitions
- Assist purchasing and field operations in evaluating and recommending subcontractor and vendor quotes
- Advise and consult project team on contract-related issues
- Cover vendor and subcontractor invoices for timely payment
- Coordinate with billing/contract accounting for proper invoicing/cost collection
- Work with project controls/accounting to forecast subcontract, material, and equipment costs
- Verify and ensure proper project documentation and record retention
- Read and understand project drawings
- Resolve issues as necessary for the project team
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required
- 3-5 years’ experience in industrial construction or related field
- Proficient with Microsoft Office
- Excellent interpersonal skills (written and verbal)
- Highly organized and self-starter
- Strong background in contract law and negotiations
- Willingness to travel
- Prior Primavera P6 experience
- Project controls experience
