Collector/Premium Accounting Administrative Assistant
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Create and maintain client credit history files and manage accounts to ensure timely payments.
- Provide customer support, resolve issues, and conduct negotiations to collect outstanding debts.
- Document collection activities, create reports, and maintain accurate records using computer systems and databases.
- Handle telephone calls, email correspondence, and communicate with law firms and other agencies regarding collections.
- Perform administrative tasks such as batching, keying, filing for the premium payment processing function.
- Provide cash processing and billing support.
- Provide back-up for Premium Accounting Assistant and Analyst as necessary.
Qualifications & Skills
- An Associate’s degree or equivalent work-related experience.
- 5+ years collection experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel, Word, Access), databases, and data entry.
- Strong organizational, record-keeping, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, along with customer service and negotiation abilities.
- The ability to remain calm and professional while handling sensitive financial information and dealing with customers.
Pay Information
- A competitive pay scale.
- The estimated salary for this role ranges from $20.00 - $26.00 hourly based on leveling and geography, along with an equity component and a comprehensive benefits package.
