About the role
Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) providing home care services in patients' residences.
Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care, including personal hygiene, transfers, repositioning, and ambulation assistance.
- Administer basic nursing care and prescribed exercises under supervision.
- Prepare meals considering client preferences and dietary needs.
- Offer companionship and engage clients in suitable activities.
- Perform light housekeeping duties as assigned.
- Maintain accurate records, report changes in patient condition, and follow the care plan.
- Use EVV app and time sheets for task documentation.
- Ensure confidentiality, privacy, and uphold patients' rights.
- Report any abuse, neglect, or unsafe environments immediately.
- Assist clients in promoting independence within their capabilities.
Qualifications & Skills
- Maintain valid certification with DFS.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Effective communication skills, including reading, writing, and following directions.
- Physical ability to lift approximately 50 lbs, bend, stand, and perform necessary tasks.
- Compassionate attitude toward sick individuals.
