About the role
Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) providing home care services in patients' residences.
Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care such as personal hygiene, mobility assistance, and basic nursing tasks as directed by healthcare professionals
- Assist with transfers, repositioning, and ambulation
- Prepare meals aligned with client needs and dietary requirements
- Offer companionship and engage in activities tailored to individual interests
- Perform light housekeeping and maintain accurate records of care provided
- Monitor and report changes in clients' physical or psychosocial conditions
- Follow care plans and complete assigned tasks via EVV systems, while maintaining patient confidentiality and respecting rights
- Ensure safety by reporting any abuse, neglect, or unsafe environments promptly
Qualifications & Skills
- Maintain current certification with DFS
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Effective communication skills, including reading, writing, and following instructions
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, bend, stand, and perform necessary tasks
- Compassionate attitude toward patient care
