About the role
Seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for weekend home care services.
Responsibilities
- Provide personal hygiene care including bathing, shaving, hair, and mouth care.
- Assist with transfers, repositioning, and ambulation.
- Administer basic nursing care and prescribed exercises under supervision.
- Prepare meals, considering client preferences and special diets.
- Offer companionship and engaging activities tailored to individual needs.
- Perform light housekeeping duties and maintain accurate records.
- Report changes in patient's condition and document tasks via EVV app.
- Adhere to Plan of Care and uphold patient confidentiality and rights.
- Notify supervisors of any concerns or abuse suspicions.
- Assist clients in maintaining independence within their abilities.
Qualifications
- Current certification with DFS.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Effective communication skills, ability to read, write, and follow directions.
- Physical ability to perform tasks such as lifting (up to 50 lbs), bending, and standing.
- Sympathetic attitude toward patient care.
Key Duties & Equipment
- Provide direct patient care in clients' homes, often involving physical and emotional support.
- Use equipment like blood pressure cuffs, stethoscopes, and transportation tools.
- Travel within designated areas to fulfill assignments.
