About the role
Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) providing home care services in patients' residences, primarily on weekends.
Responsibilities
- Providing direct patient care, including personal hygiene, transfers, repositioning, and ambulation assistance
- Administering basic nursing care and prescribed exercises under supervision
- Preparing meals considering client preferences and dietary needs
- Offering companionship and engaging in activities tailored to individual interests
- Performing light housekeeping duties and maintaining accurate records
- Monitoring and reporting changes in clients' physical or psychosocial conditions
- Using EVV app and timesheets to document tasks and adhere to care plans
- Ensuring patient confidentiality, privacy, and safety, including reporting any abuse or neglect
Qualifications
- Current certification with DFS
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Effective communication skills, ability to follow directions, and perform physical tasks such as lifting and bending
- Sympathetic attitude toward patient care
