CNA - Weekend Morning Shift

About the role

A Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in home care provides direct patient support in clients’ residences, focusing on personal hygiene, mobility assistance, basic nursing care, and prescribed exercises.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily living activities such as bathing, grooming, and mouth care.
• Support transfers, repositioning, and ambulation to ensure patient safety.
• Prepare meals considering client preferences and special diets.
• Offer companionship and engage clients in activities suited to their needs.
• Perform light housekeeping duties as assigned.
• Maintain accurate records, report changes in patient condition, and follow care plans.
• Complete tasks using EVV apps and adhere to the assigned schedule.
• Uphold patient confidentiality, privacy, and rights, while reporting any concerns or abuse.
• Follow the Plan of Care strictly; medication administration is not permitted.

Qualifications

• Maintain valid certification with DFS.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Effective communication skills, ability to read, write, and follow instructions.
• Physical capability to lift approximately 50 lbs, bend, stand, and perform necessary tasks.
• Compassionate attitude toward patient care.
