About the role

The Department of Psychiatry at the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center is seeking tenure or non-tenure track faculty psychologists.

Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively with a team of providers (e.g., nurses, social workers, marriage and family therapists, licensed professional counselors, psychiatrists) to provide comprehensive, evidence-based care for youth with a range of behavioral and emotional difficulties, as well as medical conditions.
  • Providing and supervising evidence-based assessment and intervention services to youth and families.
  • Engaging in team-based consultation.
  • Contributes to the university’s mission through teaching, research and service.

Requirements

  • Ph.D./Psy.D. in clinical, school, or counseling psychology from an APA-accredited doctoral program.
  • Completion of an APA-accredited predoctoral internship.
  • Completion of or in process of completing a postdoctoral fellowship.
  • Completion of the United States Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE) Step 3.

Qualifications

  • Completion of a Ph.D./Psy.D. in clinical, school, or counseling psychology from an APA-accredited doctoral program.
  • Completion of an APA-accredited predoctoral internship.
  • Completion of or in process of completing a postdoctoral fellowship.
  • Completion of the United States Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE) Step 3.

  • Experience with telehealth services.
  • Knowledge of evidence-based assessment and intervention techniques.
