Visa Information
TTUHSC may initiate new H-1B I-129 visa petitions at its sole discretion, subject to approval from the Texas Workforce Commission. On a limited, case-by-case basis, the institution may sponsor eligible individuals for change-of-status or change-of-employer petitions for qualifying positions. TTUHSC will not cover the $100,000 fee, if applicable.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations for children and adolescents.
- Diagnose and treat a range of psychiatric disorders in children and adolescents, including anxiety, depression, ADHD, and behavioral or emotional issues.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including medication management and psychotherapy.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
- Participate in department call coverage.
- Conduct educational activities and/or research related to mental health.
- Provide supervision, mentoring, and teaching to residents and students.
Requirements
- MD/DO or equivalent.
- Completion of the United States Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE) Step 3.
- Completion of, or in the process of completing, a residency in psychiatry.
- Completion of, or in the process of completing, a fellowship in child & adolescent psychiatry.
- ABMS Board Certified, Board Eligible, or in the process of completing training to become board eligible, in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry.

Schedule
Part-time.
Compensation is commensurate with qualifications, experience, and budgetary guidelines. Travel up to 25% may be required.
