Chesaning, Michigan Seeking Hospice Companion Volunteers in (Non-Paid)

AdvisaCare Hospice is always looking for compassionate and dependable volunteers to be there for hospice patients in the CHESANING, MI area. No healthcare experience is needed; volunteers must be 18 or older.

Volunteer Opportunities

• Sitting bedside with hospice patients in nursing facilities
• Providing caregiver relief inside private residences
• Pet therapy (licensed dogs) visits with patients
• Playing the guitar bedside of hospice patients
• Bereavement volunteer support calls to families & assisting with grief groups
• Pre‑med students interested in learning about gerontology patient care
• Remote grief support

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Willing to submit TB test, drug test, and undergo fingerprinting
• Volunteers are not accepted for court‑ordered service hours
