Charge Nurse (RN) - Rehabilitation

Summary Seeking a Rehabilitation Charge Nurse (RN) responsible for coordinating departmental functions, managing a clinic unit, and overseeing staff scheduling. Acts as a liaison to internal and external customers, ensuring regulatory compliance and staff development. Provides direct patient care, supervises care by RNs, LPNs, and CNAs, and evaluates patient outcomes. Manages staffing decisions, assists with staff orientation, and ensures completion of competency checklists. Maintains high standards of customer service by monitoring staff performance and addressing issues. Key skills include: effective communication, change management, and independent decision-making in high-stress situations. Qualifications: Nursing degree from an accredited school, two years of relevant clinical experience, and licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state. Certifications such as CPR, ACLS, and specialty-specific credentials are required or preferred. Additional certifications in neonatal, bariatrics, or wound care are advantageous. Management experience and a BSN are preferred.
