Charge Nurse (RN) - Rehabilitation

Role: Responsible for overseeing a rehabilitation nursing unit, coordinating staff activities, and ensuring quality patient care. Key Responsibilities: Manages departmental functions, schedules staff, acts as liaison with internal and external stakeholders, develops compliance plans, trains and mentors team members, and monitors patient care effectiveness. Patient Care: Provides and supervises nursing care per standards, delegates tasks based on patient needs and staff competencies. Employee Management: Handles staffing decisions, participates in orientation and competency assessments, and ensures smooth daily operations. Customer Service: Ensures professional staff conduct, tracks service performance, and addresses issues. Qualifications & Skills: Requires an accredited nursing degree, two years of clinical experience, and valid RN license. Skills include strong communication, decision-making in high-stress situations, and change management. Certifications like CPR, ACLS, and specialty-specific training are necessary. Preferred: BSN degree, management experience, and additional certifications in specialty areas.
