Charge Nurse (RN) - Rehabilitation

About the role

Responsible for coordinating departmental functions within a rehabilitation unit, acting as a liaison to internal and external stakeholders, and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care, supervises and delegates tasks to RNs, LPNs, and CNAs, and monitors the effectiveness of care delivery.
• Manages daily staffing, assists with orientation and training, and ensures completion of competency assessments.
• Ensures professional conduct of staff, tracks performance, and addresses service issues.
• Performs other related responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse license in the state
• CPR
• ACLS (as applicable)
• Additional certifications based on specialty area
• Minimum of two years clinical nursing experience, with specialized experience for certain units
• Preferred: BSN
• Preferred: management experience
• Preferred: relevant specialty certifications
• Additional certifications such as PALS, NRP, or wound care may be required depending on the department
