About the Role
As a Cart Runner at Festival Foods, you'll play a vital role in delivering exceptional service by assisting guests with parcel pick-up and ensuring carts are readily available. Whether rain or shine, your dedication to maintaining a welcoming and safe environment sets the stage for an outstanding shopping experience. Responsibilities
- Ensure that each customer (we call them guests) receives exceptional service in a friendly environment, including friendly greetings, answering questions, and addressing guest concerns with professionalism and care
- Be friendly, courteous, and cooperative while effectively communicating with associates and customers
- Maintain Guest Services expectations and standards
- Collect shopping carts from the parking lot and surrounding areas, returning them to the store in all weather conditions
- Perform prompt parcel pick-up service to enhance customer convenience
- Share customer requests with management to enhance the shopping experience and resolve issues proactively as they arise
- Other duties as assigned, including supporting superior customer service initiatives
- Regular, timely attendance in compliance with the work schedule and adequate notice to find a replacement for occasional absences
Requirements
- Ability to communicate effectively with associates and customers
- Ability to read, count, and write accurately
- Proficiency in operating all necessary equipment to perform the job efficiently
- Ability to bag efficiently while maintaining product integrity
- Ability to stand in place for long periods of time; walk in the store; bend, stoop and lift or push up to 50 lbs on a regular basis
- Requires fine finger and broad manual dexterity, and eye-hand-foot coordination in order to operate equipment
- Ability to work varied hours/days, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed in all weather conditions
Schedule
- Work schedule may include mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Two-week advanced scheduling for greater predictability and flexibility
