About the role
Cooley LLP seeks a Capital Markets Attorney with 3-6 years of experience in representing companies and underwriters in public securities offerings, particularly in the technology, consumer/retail, and life sciences sectors. The ideal candidate will also have experience representing public companies in corporate governance and SEC and exchange reporting and compliance matters.
Responsibilities
- Represent companies and underwriters in public securities offerings, including IPOs and other equity or equity-linked transactions
- Represent public companies in corporate governance and SEC and exchange reporting and compliance matters
- Manage client relationships and handle the day-to-day demands and work flow requirements of a variety of sophisticated clients
Requirements
- High level of academic achievement from a nationally recognized law school
- Experience working in the capital markets department of a national or international law firm
Qualifications
- 3-6 years of relevant legal experience
- Admitted to practice in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
Skills
- Strong analytical and research skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Pay
The expected annual pay range for this position is $260,000-$390,000, with final offer amount dependent on geographic location, applicable experience and skillset of the candidate.
