Private Equity Attorney: 3rd-6th year

About the role

Cooley is seeking a 3rd-6th year attorney with experience in private equity and M&A. Ideal candidates should possess excellent drafting, writing, and analytical skills, strong attention to detail, organizational, verbal, interpersonal, and project management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Draft and negotiate purchase and merger agreements, LLC and LP agreements and other ancillary transaction documents
• Meet the day-to-day requirements of private equity fund and portfolio company clients
• Play a lead role as an extension of the client business teams in a team-oriented and dynamic environment
• Show good business and strategic judgment

Requirements

• Excellent academic credentials
• Prior large firm experience working with private equity sponsors

Pay

The expected annual pay range for this position is $260,000 - $390,000. Final offer amount will be dependent on geographic location, applicable experience and skillset of the candidate.
