Private Equity Attorney: 3rd-6th year
About the role
Cooley has an opportunity available for a 3rd-6th year attorney with private equity and M&A experience. Ideal candidates should have excellent drafting, writing and analytical skills, strong attention to detail, organizational, verbal, interpersonal and project management skills. Experience in drafting and negotiating purchase and merger agreements, LLC and LP agreements and other ancillary transaction documents and otherwise meeting the day-to-day requirements of private equity fund and portfolio company clients is expected. The ideal candidate will have good business and strategic judgment and play a lead role as an extension of the client business teams working in a team-orientated and dynamic environment. Excellent academic credentials and prior large firm experience working with private equity sponsors are required.
Responsibilities
- Drafting and negotiating purchase and merger agreements, LLC and LP agreements and other ancillary transaction documents
- Meeting the day-to-day requirements of private equity fund and portfolio company clients

Pay
The expected annual pay range for this position is $260,000 - $390,000. Please note that final offer amount will be dependent on geographic location, applicable experience and skillset of the candidate.
