About the role

Cooley LLP seeks a Capital Markets Attorney with 3-6 years of experience in public securities offerings, particularly in the technology, consumer/retail, and life sciences sectors. The ideal candidate will also have experience representing public companies in corporate governance, SEC and exchange reporting, and compliance matters.

Responsibilities

  • Represent companies and underwriters in public securities offerings, including IPOs and other equity or equity-linked transactions
  • Represent public companies in corporate governance and SEC and exchange reporting and compliance matters
  • Manage client relationships and handle the day-to-day demands and work flow requirements of a variety of sophisticated clients

Requirements

  • Experience working in the capital markets department of a national or international law firm
  • A high level of academic achievement from a nationally recognized law school

Qualifications

  • Admitted to practice in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
  • Passionate about working in the capital markets sector

Skills

  • Strong legal research and writing skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Pay

The expected annual pay range for this position is $260,000-$390,000. Final offer amount will be dependent on geographic location, applicable experience and skillset of the candidate.
