Responsible for

  • Creates, organizes and archives architectural floor plans for survey compliance documentation for Avera facilities.
  • Sets up and configures hardware and software applications that pertain directly to AutoCAD/Revit or associated software and peripherals.
  • Possess or acquire skills use of IBC, IFC, NFPA, ADA, and other governing codes affecting health care.
  • Supports the development of Life Safety Code plans for Avera facilities.
  • Supports Avera facilities in the preparing of code compliance documentation for JCAHO and State Department of Health Surveys and participates in mock surveys to ensure building code compliance.
  • Serves as system administrator for the organization’s Revit.
  • Creates space use and egress drawings and databases for Avera facilities.

Essential Qualifications

  • The individual must be able to work the hours specified.
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job function satisfactorily including having visual acuity adequate to perform position duties and the ability to communicate effectively with others, hear, understand and distinguish speech and other sounds.

Required Education, License/Certification, Or Work Experience

  • Associate's or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school in a drafting or construction related field
  • 4-6 years experience and proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit and Microsoft Office
