Building Information Management Coordinator
Responsibilities
- Supports the enterprise BIM process and regional BIM efforts.
- Organizes Revit files and works with various teams to update BIM facility packages.
- Manages and facilitates the sharing of BIM data in the Autodesk Construction Cloud tool set.
- Administers Autodesk Construction Cloud tools and provides BIM/Revit support to regional design teams.
- Develops and implements Revit model and BIM enterprise best practices for AEC project deliverables.
- Incorporates regional feedback into Mayo Clinic’s enterprise BIM standards and best practices.
- Serves as BIM project manager for enterprise and regional design & construction projects.
- Mentors regional planning and design teams in BIM implementation.
- Creates and maintains Mayo Clinic’s enterprise Revit templates, Revit content management tool, seed files, regional templates, and Autodesk Construction Cloud tools.
- Communicates with clients for problem-solving, BIM support, and monitors project delivery.
- Provides technical staff with assistance and support for difficult tasks and training.
- Coordinates the application of BIM technologies across all building and infrastructure disciplines.
- Creates clash detection reports and leads clash detection meetings with design teams.
- Fills in as the BIM representative for external projects requiring BIM deliverables.
- Collaborates with the Mayo Clinic Reality Capture team to incorporate point cloud data into model packages.
Qualifications
- Preferred bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, interior design, computer science, information technology, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of previous experience in a BIM-related role, such as BIM Coordinator, BIM Technician, or similar position.
- Proficiency in BIM software platforms like Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, BIM 360, and Autodesk Construction Cloud.
- Strong understanding and practical experience with BIM methodologies, standards, and protocols.
- Experience with Revit family creation for architecture, MEP, and structural systems.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders and develop consensus on enterprise BIM standards.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, written, and presentation skills.
- Leadership qualities including professionalism, honesty, vision, planning, and team building.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks independently and work with a wide range of personalities and challenging situations.
- Prior experience in supervision and management.
- Architecture, engineering, or interior design licensure preferred.
- Autodesk and Autodesk REVIT certifications preferred.
- Associated General Contractors of America Certificate of Management – Building Information Modeling preferred.
- Revit Certified Professional preferred (any discipline).
- AGC CM-BIM certification, Microsoft a plus.
