Bridge Repair Assistant (Region 9)

About the role

Under the supervision of a Trade Specialist Bridge, the Bridge Repair Assistant performs a variety of maintenance and repair tasks essential to bridge infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Masonry and carpentry work
• Operation of equipment and tools
• Sandblasting and welding
• Use of various construction materials
• Traffic control setup and management
• Snow and ice removal operations in assigned areas
• Must be able to report to work within one hour of call-up

Requirements

• Two years of experience in maintenance or mechanical work under the supervision of a skilled tradesperson, or
• Completion of a technical course in bridge or related trade at an accredited school or institute
• Possession of a valid Class B Commercial Driver License

Pay

Starting salary: $55,905 (base salary of $46,905 plus a $9,000 geographic pay differential for this title and location).
