Bridge Repair Assistant 1 Trainee 2/ Trainee 1 (Region 9)

Duties

• Masonry
• Carpentry
• Equipment operation
• Sandblasting
• Welding
• Use of other materials and traffic control
• Snow and ice operations in areas other than the primary work location
• Report for duty within a maximum of one hour of call‑up

Qualifications

• Journey Level: Two years’ experience in maintenance or mechanical work under the supervision of a skilled tradesman, or completion of a technical course in a bridge or technical trade; must hold a Class B Commercial Driver License.
• Trainee 2: More than one year but less than two years of qualifying experience (as defined for Journey Level) and a Commercial Driver’s License.
• Trainee 1: Less than one year of qualifying experience (as defined for Journey Level) and a Class D Motor Vehicle License.
• Must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full‑time basis.
• Cannabis use is prohibited; pre‑employment screening includes testing and may result in disqualification or removal from employment.

Pay

• Bridge Repair Assistant: Starting salary $55,905 (base $46,905 + geographic pay differential $9,000).
• Bridge Repair Assistant Trainee 1: Starting salary $48,855 (base $39,855 + geographic pay differential $9,000).
• Bridge Repair Assistant Trainee 2: Starting salary $51,058 (base $42,058 + geographic pay differential $9,000).
