Bookkeeper
Responsibilities
- Oversee bookkeeping activities for client accounts, ensuring records remain complete, current, and accurate
- Maintain financial data within QuickBooks Online and verify that transactions are properly categorized and recorded
- Perform bank and account reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, and resolve issues that affect reporting accuracy
- Review profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports to highlight trends, risks, and areas for improvement
- Lead client discussions to explain financial results in a clear and thorough manner and answer questions with confidence
- Cook up with internal team members to keep deliverables on schedule and maintain a high standard of client service
- Support accounts payable processes and help improve workflow efficiency where needed
- Correct disorganized records, identify inconsistencies, and strengthen bookkeeping procedures for better long-term accuracy
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting, including full-charge bookkeeping responsibilities
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online with the ability to manage and maintain accurate financial records
- Experience handling accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple client accounts or priorities at the same time
- Strong understanding of core financial statements and how to interpret business performance
- Confidence in communicating directly with clients and presenting financial information clearly
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving
