Key Responsibilities
- Process purchase & sales ledgers, payments, invoices (including CIS invoices), income, and receipts using Xero Accounting and Hubdoc.
- Handle vendor invoices and statements, ensuring timely payments.
- Collaborate with the Project Manager to update current job valuations for accurate sales invoicing.
- Manage Director and employee expense claims.
- Prepare employee wages using RTI basic tools.
- Correct inconsistencies within accounts for accurate reporting.
- Review and verify the accuracy of business accounts.
- Complete VAT, CIS, and PAYE returns.
- Maintain and reconcile bank account balances and corporate credit cards.
Skills Required
- Strong understanding of all aspects of bookkeeping with the ability to maintain accurate accounts.
- Solid administrative skills to assist Management colleagues with customer job maintenance.
- Excellent people skills, with the ability to establish strong working relationships.
- Team player with the capacity to use initiative and make independent decisions.
- Well-organized and capable of meeting deadlines.
- Good maths and IT skills, including proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office.
- Experience: Bookkeeping/Accounting: 2 years (preferred).
Benefits
- 20 days holiday per annum, rising by 1 day for each complete year of service, plus Bank Holidays.
Pay
Salary: Dependent on experience.
