About the role
The Billing and Collections Coordinator supports the Finance department and works in any of O’Melveny's West Coast offices. This role is responsible for managing billing and collections for assigned partners and clients.
Responsibilities
- Review and maintain billing memos, ensuring accuracy and compliance with legal terms and processes.
- Prepare and assemble bills and attachments, and send them to clients.
- Communicate with attorneys, paralegals, and assistants via phone to address billing and collection issues.
- Coordinate and resolve electronic billing issues for assigned clients.
- Manage the collection process, including inventory emails, follow-up with partners, and updating firm databases.
- Conduct strategic follow-up requests to partners, considering previous communications and responses.
Requirements
- Prior billing experience, preferably in a law firm setting.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Strong technical proficiency, including high-level Excel skills, third-party E-billing software experience, and knowledge of EbillingHub and Elite.
- A college degree is preferred; relevant coursework in accounting, business, or a related field is a plus.

Skills

Benefits
The salary range for this role in California is $85,000 - $100,000. The actual compensation offered will depend on various factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
