Responsibilities

• Affords assistance in selecting and purchasing specialty coffee beverages and whole bean sales.
• Responds promptly to customer needs and expresses gratitude to every customer.
• Maintains cleanliness and attractiveness of the customer service area and equipment.
• Demonstrates a positive attitude, offering a "just say yes" approach to customer needs.
• Prepares a range of customer beverage orders, including espresso drinks and Coffee of the Day, to Starbucks standards.
• Fulfills store policies and procedures for operational flow at each station.
• Performs cleaning tasks according to the Duty Rosters and cleaning standards, and collaborates effectively with the store team.
• Presents oneself professionally and communicates clearly through the use of Star Skills in all customer and partner interactions.
• Adheres to merchandising, stocking, rotating, and storing product standards.
• Carries out equipment maintenance based on a preventative maintenance checklist.
• Complies with cash handling and register policies.
• Fulfills inventory stocking and recording guidelines.
• Learns and demonstrates the creation of the Starbucks Experience.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Previous experience working in espresso or foodservice establishments is preferred.
• Literacy and fluency in English are required.
• Excellent communication and guest service skills are essential.
• Strong math and money handling abilities are necessary.
• The ability to uphold and demonstrate the highest levels of integrity in all situations is crucial.
• The ability to recognize and adhere to the standards required by a regulated business is mandatory.
• The ability to lift, carry, and push objects weighing up to 50 lbs is required.
• The ability to perform tasks such as grasping, holding, reaching, bending, pushing-pulling, using a step stool, and having hand-eye coordination is necessary.
• The ability to walk and stand continuously during shifts is essential.
• The ability to hear and use visual inspection is required.
