Automotive Service Advisor

About the Role

The Service Advisor performs automotive services efficiently while delivering excellent customer service. They assist customers with purchases, explain work orders and invoices, and process payments. The role involves installing batteries, balancing wheels, repairing and installing tires, and performing oil changes. Associates interpret vehicle inspection results to recommend services, adhere to safety policies, and utilize computer systems like VAST for work orders and inventory management.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with purchases and service recommendations
• Explain work orders and invoices clearly
• Process payments and transactions
• Perform basic vehicle maintenance (e.g., installing batteries, balancing wheels, repairing/installing tires, oil changes)
• Interpret vehicle inspection results to suggest additional services
• Adhere to safety and loss prevention policies
• Utilize computer systems (e.g., VAST) for work orders and inventory management

Requirements

• Strong communication skills
• Ability to read and speak English
• Must pass pre-employment drug and background checks
• Prior auto repair and retail experience preferred
• Must be at least 18 years old
