What You Will Be Doing

  • Congducting individualized motivation sessions where you apply your competitive discipline as concrete, actionable coaching techniques
  • Facilitating dynamic morning assemblies that activate and focus the entire student group
  • Guiding interactive life-skills workshops where students practice resilience, leadership, and structured goal-setting under your direct coaching
  • Delivering organized afternoon athletic training that embodies championship principles: creating drills, demanding maximum effort, refining technique, and building grit and collaboration through competitive sport (not passive supervision)
  • Engaging proactively with each student all day long: moving through independent study periods, stepping in to energize anyone who's struggling, and turning everyday interactions into pivotal learning opportunities

What You Won’t Be Doing

  • Acting as a passive figurehead or symbolic presence: this role demands active floor engagement, session leadership, and immediate, hands-on intervention
  • Delivering conventional classroom instruction or adhering to lesson plans: academic content is covered through adaptive technology. Your focus is life coaching, motivation, and teaching transferable skills via athletics and mentorship

Key Responsibilities

As an Elite Guide, your responsibility is to develop Austin-based student-athletes into high-performing individuals and emerging leaders by converting elite competitive discipline into everyday motivation, life-skills instruction, and rigorous sports training within a high-expectation school setting.

  • Take ownership of daily student motivation by tracking progress, identifying obstacles, and guiding students toward defined academic and personal objectives
  • Facilitate high-energy morning assemblies that establish a purposeful, competitive mindset for the day ahead
  • Conduct life-skills sessions that instill resilience, leadership, accountability, and consistency through storytelling, guided reflection, and engaged student involvement
  • Execute structured afternoon sports training where drills, competitive practice, and performance standards reinforce perseverance, teamwork, and excellence
  • Leverage student performance data and real-time observation to respond swiftly when a student is stalled, disengaged, or underperforming relative to standards

Basic Requirements

  • We're seeking former elite athletes who have proven themselves at the very top of sport — Olympians, World Champions, pro players in the NFL, NBA, MLB, MLS, or NHL, or NCAA Division I All-Americans
  • Bachelor's degree in any subject
  • Proven experience using sport to mentor and coach life skills
  • Demonstrated motivational leadership in athletic, academic, or professional settings
  • Legal right to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship
  • Willing to live in or relocate to Austin, TX

Compensation and Benefits

All roles are year-long positions. The compensation level for this role is $150,000 USD/year. The payment period is weekly.
