About Texas Sports Academy
Texas Sports Academy is where future champions excel in academics and athletics. Traditional schools force student-athletes to choose between excelling in academics or committing to their sport. Texas Sports Academy eliminates that tradeoff. Their innovative K-8 model, based in Austin, TX, uses AI-driven learning to accelerate academics, allowing students to master core subjects in just two hours a day. The rest of their day is dedicated to athletic training, skill-building, and personal development—so students excel in both their studies and their sport. By integrating advanced educational technology with structured sports training, they provide a unique learning experience that builds discipline, leadership, and resilience.
Responsibilities
- Take ownership of daily student motivation through progress monitoring, identifying obstacles, and guiding students toward defined academic and personal objectives.
- Facilitate dynamic morning assemblies that establish a motivated, goal-oriented atmosphere for the day ahead.
- Conduct life-skills workshops focused on teaching resilience, leadership, discipline, and accountability via narrative, guided reflection, and hands-on student engagement.
- Execute structured afternoon sports training where drills, competitive play, and practice reinforce perseverance, collaboration, and elevated standards.
- Leverage student performance metrics and daily observations to intervene swiftly when students disengage, encounter barriers, or underperform relative to expectations.
- Conduct focused 1:1 motivation sessions that convert your competitive experience into targeted, practical coaching techniques.
- Deliver high-impact morning assemblies designed to energize and focus the entire student community.
- Guide interactive life skills workshops where you coach students directly through exercises in resilience, leadership, and structured goal pursuit.
- Direct organized afternoon sports sessions that embody elite standards: creating drills, demanding maximum effort, refining technique, and instilling grit and collaboration through athletic training.
- Engage proactively with all students across the day: moving through spaces during self-directed learning, stepping in to inspire when a student struggles, and seizing moments that catalyze new thinking.
What You Won’t Be Doing
- Observing from a distance as a symbolic presence: this role demands active participation. You will be on the ground, leading sessions, engaging students, and making real-time adjustments.
- Delivering conventional academic instruction or adhering to a set curriculum: students engage with content through adaptive technology. Your focus is life coaching, motivational guidance, and developing transferable skills through athletics and mentorship.
