About the role

Texas Sports Academy is seeking an Elite Guide to transform Austin-based student-athletes into high-performing learners and leaders. This role combines elite athletic discipline with life-coaching and mentorship.

Responsibilities

• Congruently applying athletic discipline to create specific, actionable strategies for student motivation
• Leading high-energy morning sessions to engage and energize the entire student body
• Facilitating interactive life skill workshops where students actively work through resilience, leadership, and goal-setting challenges
• Executing structured afternoon sports sessions that embody championship principles: creating drills, demanding effort, refining technique, and instilling grit and teamwork through sport
• Engaging proactively with every student throughout each day: moving through the space during independent work time, stepping in to motivate students when they're stuck, and generating teachable moments that spark breakthrough performance

What You Won’t Be Doing

• Observing passively from the sidelines
• Delivering traditional academic instruction or adhering to preset curricula

Basic Requirements

• We're seeking former elite athletes who have proven themselves at the very top of sport
• Olympians, World Champions, pro players in the NFL, NBA, MLB, MLS, or NHL, or NCAA Division I All-Americans
• Bachelor's degree in any subject
• Proven experience using sport to mentor and coach life skills
• Demonstrated motivational leadership in athletic, academic, or professional settings
• Legal right to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship
• Willing to live in or relocate to Austin, TX

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation level for this role is $75 USD/hour, which equates to $150,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
