Texas Sports Academy seeks a Player Development Coach to leverage their extensive athletic background and experience to inspire and mentor students towards peak performance. The ideal candidate will bring a proven track record of success in competitive sports and be able to translate that into effective coaching and motivational strategies.
Responsibilities
- Conducting focused 1:1 motivation sessions where you convert your competitive discipline into concrete, practical coaching techniques
- Directing high-impact morning assemblies that activate the entire student community
- Delivering interactive life skill workshops where you guide students through applied exercises in resilience, leadership, and goal formulation
- Leading structured afternoon athletic training sessions that embody championship principles: building drills, demanding intensity, refining technique, and instilling grit and collaboration through athletic activity (far beyond simple supervision)
- Maintaining proactive engagement with all students during the day: moving through independent study periods, stepping in to energize students who are struggling, and engineering moments that catalyze new levels of thinking
Requirements
- Player Development Coach key responsibilities
We are looking for former elite athletes who have competed at the highest tier of sport — Olympians, World Champions, professional athletes in the NFL, NBA, MLB, MLS, or NHL, or NCAA Division I All-Americans
Bachelor's degree in any subject
Proven experience using sport to mentor and coach life skills
Demonstrated motivational leadership in athletic, academic, or professional settings
Legal right to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship
Willing to live in or relocate to Austin, TX

Pay
$75 USD/hour, which equates to $150,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year
