About the role
Texas Sports Academy is seeking an Elite Guide to transform Austin-based student-athletes into high-performing learners and leaders. The role involves converting elite athletic discipline into continuous motivation, life-skills development, and organized sports-driven practice within a rigorous school setting.
Responsibilities
- Congverting elite athletic discipline into specific, practical coaching techniques during proactive one-on-one motivation sessions.
- Delivering high-energy morning assemblies that activate and focus the entire student population.
- Guiding hands-on workshops in essential life skills, actively coaching students through leadership, resilience, and goal-setting practices.
- Overseeing structured afternoon athletic training that embodies championship principles, including creating drills, demanding effort, refining technique, and instilling grit and collaboration through sport.
- Engaging proactively with all students throughout each day, moving through independent study periods, stepping in to inspire when a student encounters difficulty, and generating teachable moments that spark breakthrough performance.
Requirements
- We are looking for former elite athletes who competed at the highest tier of sport, such as Olympians, World Champions, professional athletes in the NFL, NBA, MLB, MLS, or NHL, or NCAA Division I All-Americans.
- A Bachelor's degree in any field.
- Demonstrated experience leveraging sport to mentor and develop life skills.
- Confirmed motivational leadership in athletic, academic, or professional contexts.
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without requiring visa sponsorship.
- Willingness to reside in or relocate to Austin, TX.

Schedule
Full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $75 USD/hour, which equates to $150,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
