Assistant Nurse Manager - Telemetry Unit

About the role

This position involves coordinating patient care, managing personnel, maintaining and purchasing equipment, and tracking statistical data. It requires flexible scheduling and leadership over direct reports to ensure departmental operational goals are met.

Responsibilities

• Hire, train, evaluate, and develop staff, ensuring productivity aligns with departmental objectives.
• Participate in staffing, budgeting, and responding to operational changes to meet financial and service goals.
• Oversee patient care delivery, ensuring interventions are appropriate for patients' age and needs, and document accordingly.
• Create and implement care plans based on assessments and medical treatment.
• Manage staff scheduling, payroll, performance reviews, and disciplinary actions, ensuring staff productivity and adherence to policies.

Qualifications

Required: Nursing diploma/associate's degree, RN license, 2-5 years of experience, supervisory experience preferred.

Preferred: Bachelor's degree in nursing, 5-10 years of experience, less than 2 years of supervisory experience.
