About the Role
The Clinical Assistant Manager advocates for safe, compassionate, and effective nursing care by assisting in personnel management, budget oversight, strategic planning, and ensuring regulatory compliance. They collaborate with the Clinical Manager to develop quality improvement initiatives, oversee staff performance, and foster professional development.
Responsibilities
- Support administrative and operational functions, including staffing, resource allocation, and care model implementation.
- Ensure staff competency, conduct performance evaluations, and facilitate staff participation in hospital activities.
- Maintain a safe environment, advocate for patients, and coordinate care across disciplines to optimize patient outcomes.
- Participate in performance improvement activities, analyze data, and implement process enhancements.
- Assist in hiring, orientation, and ensuring regulatory standards are met.
- Manage unit resources efficiently, balancing quality, cost, and patient needs.
- Promote professional growth through participation in leadership programs, community activities, and ongoing education.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing; BSN preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years clinical nursing experience; 1 year leadership experience preferred.
- Knowledge of healthcare systems, performance improvement, and accreditation standards.
- Strong communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
- Current RN licensure; specialty certification within 6 months of eligibility; BLS certification required.
