Role Overview

The Cylinder Assembler is responsible for assembling, filling, testing, and inspecting SCBA cylinders using various tools and equipment. They assemble sub-assemblies, perform tests and inspections to ensure compliance with drawings, troubleshoot issues, repair parts, and label and package cylinders. The role includes preparing components, maintaining records, coordinating with supply chain and supervision, and meeting production goals while adhering to safety, quality, and housekeeping standards.

Qualifications & Skills

• Ability to read drawings, work instructions, and test procedures.
• Understanding of measurement tools and units.
• Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs and push/pull 50 lbs.
• Experience with power and hand tools, testing equipment, and simple machines.
• Strong organizational, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.
• Operate pallet jacks and obtain forklift license preferred.
• Meet quality and productivity standards within nine months of training.
• Wearing PPE such as safety glasses and steel toe shoes is required.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• At least 6 months manufacturing or related experience.
