About the Role

The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) in Thyroid Oncology functions within the ambulatory thyroid oncology setting as an integral member of a multidisciplinary healthcare team. The role involves managing care for acute and chronically ill patients in this specific population or with related diseases, primarily in the outpatient clinic. The APP may also have responsibilities in the consultative inpatient setting or serve as a resource for the inpatient care team.

Responsibilities

  • Manage care for outpatient thyroid oncology patients in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.
  • Provide consultative support for inpatient care teams when needed.
  • Ensure an environment of safe, high-quality care through evidence-based practice and education.
  • Demonstrate advanced medical and nursing knowledge, clinical and technical competency, and sound clinical judgment.
  • Maintain professionalism in interpersonal and communication skills, timely documentation, and ongoing professional development.

Requirements

  • Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) for Nurse Practitioners or Bachelor of Science (BS) for Physician Assistants.
  • Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) or Physician Assistant-Certified (PA-C) licensure.
  • No prior experience required.

Pay

$106,780–156,062 per year (Grade Level 14).

Schedule

Days, with possible evenings and weekends.
