APP Thyroid Oncology/UKHC

About the role

The APP Thyroid Oncology functioning within the ambulatory thyroid oncology setting works in collaboration with, and is an integral member of, a multidisciplinary health care team. The APP functions primarily in the clinic managing the care of acute and chronically ill patients of this specific population or with related diseases. The APP is generally service aligned team and manages the care of the outpatient with the team. In some instances the APP may have responsibilities for this same patient population in the consultative inpatient setting or serves a resource for the inpatient care team.

Responsibilities

• Manage the care of acute and chronically ill patients in the ambulatory thyroid oncology setting
• Function as an integral member of a multidisciplinary health care team
• Manage outpatient care with the service-aligned team
• Serve as a resource for the inpatient care team when needed
• Ensure an environment of safe quality care
• Demonstrate advanced level of medical and nursing knowledge, clinical and technical competency, and sound clinical judgment
• Maintain professionalism in interpersonal and general communication skills
• Complete timely and compliant documentation
• Take responsibility for ongoing professional development and competency validation

Requirements

• MSN for Nurse Practitioners or BS for Physician Assistants
• Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) or Physician Assistant-Certified (PA-C) licensure/certification
• No experience required

Pay

$106,780-156,062/year
