APP Endocrinology Inpatient/UKHC

About the role
The APP Endocrinology Inpatient works in collaboration with a multidisciplinary health care team to provide endocrine consultation and management of inpatients through the UKHC system. The APP functions as a member of the endocrine practice and serves as the expert to assist with chronic and acute conditions within the inpatient setting. In some service lines, the APP may coordinate care from ICU or critical care to discharge and back to the ambulatory setting. The APP has a strong foundation in evidence-based practice and education, ensuring an environment of safe, quality care.
Responsibilities
- Provide endocrine consultation and management for inpatients
- Function as a member of the endocrine practice team
- Assist with chronic and acute inpatient conditions
- Coordinate care from critical care/ICU to discharge and transition to ambulatory setting (in some service lines)
- Apply evidence-based practice and education to ensure safe, quality care
- Demonstrate advanced medical/nursing knowledge, clinical/technical competency, sound clinical judgment, and professionalism in communication
- Maintain timely and compliant documentation
- Pursue ongoing professional development and competency validation
Requirements
- MSN for Nurse Practitioners or BS for Physician Assistants
- Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) or Physician Assistant-Certified (PA-C) license/registration/certification
- Ability to stand/sit for long periods
Pay
$111,405–181,618/year
