About the role
The APP Endocrine ambulatory works in collaboration with a multidisciplinary health care team to provide endocrine consultation and management of ambulatory patients through the UKHC system. The APP functions as a member of the endocrine practice and serves as the expert to assist with chronic and acute conditions in an ambulatory setting, including being a resource for the multifaceted diabetes team. The APP has a strong foundation in evidence-based practice and education and is responsible for ensuring an environment of safe, quality care.
The APP demonstrates an advanced level of medical and nursing knowledge, clinical and technical competency, sound clinical judgment, professionalism in interpersonal and general communication skills, timely and compliant documentation, and takes responsibility for ongoing professional development and competency validation.
Responsibilities
- Provide endocrine consultation and management of ambulatory patients
- Assist with chronic and acute conditions in an ambulatory setting
- Serve as a resource for the multifaceted diabetes team
- Ensure an environment of safe, quality care through evidence-based practice and education
- Maintain advanced clinical and technical competency, sound clinical judgment, and professional communication
- Complete timely and compliant documentation
- Pursue ongoing professional development and competency validation
Requirements
- MSN for Nurse Practitioners or BS for Physician Assistants
- Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) or Physician Assistant-Certified (PA-C) license/registration/certification

$106,780–156,062/year

Full-time, Monday through Friday, day shift (40+ hours)
