About the role
This position will provide a variety of specialty pharmacy services aimed at improving the care for patients enrolled within the UK Specialty Pharmacy service. This position will provide oversight of a variety of areas, including appropriateness of prescription processing, workflow improvement, mail order support, patient counseling, and coordination of prescription with clinic-based and call-center based specialty pharmacists. This position will provide a high patient-touch service while obtaining affordable access to these medications, both cornerstones of a high functioning Specialty Pharmacy. Establish safe practices for infusion therapy handling, as well as collaborating and communicating with multidisciplinary team members involved in providing services to patients.
Responsibilities
- Provide oversight of appropriateness of prescription processing
- Manage workflow improvement initiatives
- Support mail order operations
- Provide patient counseling
- Coordinate prescriptions with clinic-based and call-center based specialty pharmacists
- Establish safe practices for infusion therapy handling
- Collaborate and communicate with multidisciplinary team members involved in providing services to patients
Qualifications
- BS degree required (see equivalency information)
- No experience required
- Licensed Pharmacist required
- PharmD and completion of an ASHP-accredited PGY1 residency program (or equivalent experience) preferred

Pay
Salary range: $114,911–156,062/year
Schedule
Day shift, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. with some on-call and holiday requirements. Hours and days of the week are subject to change based on needs and growth of department. Holiday is not currently a requirement, but always subject to change.
