About the role

This position supports ambulatory clinics in managing patients requiring Specialty Pharmacy medications. In the absence of the Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC), the Director of Operations assumes all responsibilities or designates an appropriately experienced pharmacist to fulfill interim PIC duties. If the Director of Operations is also absent, a SCSP determines which pharmacist should assume PIC duties.

Responsibilities

• Supports ambulatory clinics in managing patients requiring Specialty Pharmacy medications.
• Provides strong clinical oversight and patient education.
• Improves clinic workflow, increases patient satisfaction, and increases the volume of specialty medications dispensed through UK pharmacies.
• Ensures safe practices for infusion therapy handling and collaborates with multidisciplinary team members.

Schedule

Shift primarily during the hours of 12:30-9pm Monday through Friday. Shift hours may change to provide necessary coverage.
