Responsibilities

  • Handle and secure luggage according to TSA standards.
  • Issue boarding passes and tag bags for airline passengers on departing flights.
  • Provide general information to passengers about locations/directions and flight information.
  • Offer high level of customer service to airline passengers and clients.
  • Follow safety, security, and HAZMAT procedures through annual training provided by Bags, Inc. and air carriers' partners.
  • Assist guests by checking their luggage and issuing boarding passes.
  • Process check-in of guests’ bags, including charging credit cards for bags as per airline requirements.
  • Weigh guests’ bags to verify appropriate weight and charge for overweight bags.
  • Tag guest luggage with destination tags.
  • Provide Boarding Pass, Luggage Claim tickets, and receipt to guests.
  • Secure luggage immediately after processing.
  • Maintain excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Manage payments (credit card) received from guests.
  • Answer telephones and respond to guest inquiries.

Qualifications

  • At least 6 months experience in a face-to-face guest service position preferred.
  • Data Entry and/or computer experience preferred.
  • Ability to communicate clearly with guests and clients.
  • Knowledge of the airline or travel industry preferred.
  • Eligible to work in the United States.
  • Pass pre-employment criminal background screening.
  • Pass pre-employment Drug Testing process.
  • Ability to work in the early morning rotation.
  • Ability to work in outside weather conditions required.
  • Follow company appearance guidelines.
  • Ability to lift up to 70 lbs.
  • Ability to push luggage cages both empty and full.
  • Weather: Outdoors 100% of the time including all temperatures and types of weather (rain / humid / allergy related issues / etc).
  • Noise: Continued vehicle noise including vehicle horns, multiple conversations and large group noise.
  • Standing: 100%.
  • Walking: 50%.
  • Specific vision abilities required: Close vision, Peripheral vision, and Ability to adjust focus.
