Role Summary: Provides professional nursing care through independent and delegated medical functions, utilizing specialized knowledge to evaluate, diagnose, and treat various human conditions across multiple specialties including Emergency Room, Cardiology, Neurology, and more. Key Responsibilities Collects comprehensive medical histories and conducts physical examinations, reviewing relevant tests to assess patient health.Formulates accurate diagnoses and develops treatment plans aligned with collaborating physicians, including medication orders, additional testing, and referrals.Performs procedures within expertise and in compliance with regulations and policies.Educates patients and families on treatment plans, disease prevention, and health promotion with culturally sensitive, evidence-based information.Documents all patient care activities thoroughly and accurately in medical records.Conducts telehealth encounters, manages in-basket tasks, and responds to emergency situations appropriately.Collaborates with healthcare team members, advocates for patient-centered care, and promotes a safe, confidential environment.Maintains clinical competence through continuing education, certifications, and participating in quality assurance activities. Qualifications & Skills Master's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program.Valid Colorado APN Prescriptive Authority Certification or Provisional Certification, with active licensure including Registered Nurse License and Advanced Practice Nurse Registration.National Provider Identifier and Basic Life Support certification required at hire; DEA registration also required.Preferred: ACLS certification and procedural sedation competency, with oncology experience advantageous. Additional Notes: May require travel within the region. The role emphasizes patient advocacy, teamwork, cultural sensitivity, and ongoing professional development.
