About the Role
Provides professional nursing care through independent and delegated medical functions, utilizing specialized knowledge across various medical specialties such as Emergency Room, Cardiology, Neurology, Endocrinology, Psychiatry, Urogynecology, Oncology, and Rheumatology.
Responsibilities
- Collects patient history, performs physical exams, reviews lab/radiologic studies, and assesses patient conditions.
- Develops accurate diagnoses and formulates treatment plans aligned with collaborating physicians, including medication orders and follow-up care.
- Performs procedures within scope, educates patients on treatment and health promotion, and documents all care activities.
- Conducts telehealth encounters, manages emergency situations, and collaborates with healthcare team members.
- Maintains safety, confidentiality, and cultural sensitivity in patient care.
- Assumes ongoing professional development, maintains licensure, participates in quality assurance, and mentors colleagues.
Requirements
- Master’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
- Colorado APN Prescriptive Authority Certification or Provisional, Advanced Practice Nurse Registration, and RN License.
- National Provider Identifier and BLS certification (within 3 months).
- DEA registration required.
Skills
- Preferred: ACLS and procedural sedation competency.
- Preferred: Oncology experience.
- Preferred: BLS certification.
