Advance Practice Nurse - PRN, Oncall

About the role

This role involves practicing professional nursing by performing independent and delegated medical functions in accordance with accepted standards. It requires specialized knowledge to evaluate, diagnose, and treat conditions across various specialties, including Emergency Room, Cardiology, Neurology, Endocrinology, Psychiatry, Urogynecology, Oncology, and Rheumatology.

Responsibilities

• Collect patient data and formulate diagnoses.
• Develop and implement treatment plans.
• Perform procedures within scope of practice.
• Educate patients on health promotion and disease prevention.
• Document patient care and maintain accurate records.
• Respond to medical emergencies.
• Conduct telehealth consultations.
• Perform administrative duties as required.
• Provide patient-centered care with an emphasis on teamwork and cultural sensitivity.
• Engage in continuous professional development.

Requirements

• Master’s Degree in Nursing.
• Colorado licensure as an Advanced Practice Nurse (APN).
• APN prescriptive authority.
• Current certifications: BLS, DEA, and CDE/CDCES.
• Experience in diabetes management.

Preferred Qualifications

• ACLS certification.
• Competency in procedural sedation.
