Role Overview Provides professional nursing care by performing independent and delegated medical functions in various specialties, including Emergency Room, Cardiology, Neurology, Endocrinology, Psychiatry, Urogynecology, Oncology, and Rheumatology. Responsibilities include collecting patient data, formulating diagnoses, developing and implementing treatment plans, performing procedures within expertise, educating patients, and documenting all care activities. Emphasizes patient advocacy, safety, cultural sensitivity, and collaborative teamwork. Key Duties Gather medical histories, perform physical exams, and review lab/radiologic results.Assess and diagnose patient conditions, considering differential diagnoses.Develop and execute treatment plans with physician collaboration, including medication orders and follow-up care.Perform procedures within legal and organizational guidelines.Educate patients and families on treatment, disease prevention, and health promotion.Document clinical data accurately in medical records.Manage telehealth encounters and emergency situations.Maintain confidentiality, safety, and professional standards. Qualifications & Skills 1-2 years of diabetes management experience; endocrinology experience preferred.Master’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited program.Valid Colorado APN Prescriptive Authority Certification or Provisional certification.Colorado RN license, Advanced Practice Nurse registration, and National Provider Identifier.Basic Life Support and DEA registration required; CDE/CDECS certification within 24 months. Additional Requirements & Preferences ACLS and procedural sedation competency preferred for sedation roles.Position not suitable for new graduates.
